A few weeks ago, a blind item popped up on the Internet saying that one of Hollywood’s most notorious bad boys was HIV-positive. Now, bothThe National Enquirer and People are reporting that the celeb in question is none other than Charlie Sheen.
“I’ve known about this a long time, it’s not a surprise to me,” says publicist Howard Bragman of the news. “I feel very sorry for his pain. And I hope it’s used as a teachable moment for the world. This is a disease that can affect anyone.”
Reportedly Charlie, who has a colored past with drug abuse and adult movie stars, is already in treatment to battle the deadly disease, and will address the rumors tomorrow on the Today show.
“The interview could open up a lot of sympathy for him, but he has to be concerned about a fear of litigation from former sexual partners,” a source told People. “You don’t take that lightly.”
And also: OMG HIS POOR KIDS. Charlie has five children–daughter Cassandra Jade Estevez, born in 1984 to his high school girlfriend, daughters Sam and Lola with ex-wife Denise Richards, and six-year-old twin boys Bob and Max with his third ex-wife Brooke Mueller. He’s also a grandfather to Cassandra’s daughter Luna, born in 2013. No doubt this is absolutely nightmarish for all involved.
